There is a trend towards less packing in the grocery stores, if you find out their delivery days it might be possible to get your hands on a supply before they head to the trash compactor. The produce department can turn up some good apple boxes with lids if you enquire.

Busy coffee shops receive lots of deliveries each week and will have boxes or varying sizes free for the taking, just find out the shipment days.

These boxes are strong for packing heavier items, readily available and the fries come frozen so there won’t be any odour or grease sticking to them.
